🌿 DECKO Verdure Green Wall Panels
Installation Guide – DECKO Verdure Panels
Our Verdure Green Wall panels feature a user-friendly interlocking mesh system, allowing panels to snap together for a seamless, secure look. Installation is quick and easy - just match the method to your wall type:
Timber or Plasterboard Walls
-
Recommended Method: Staple gun
-
Staple through the plastic mesh base: one in each corner, plus every ~250mm across the panel.
-
Alternatively, use wood screws or nails with washers. If fixing to plasterboard, locate and screw into the wall studs for a stronger hold.
Stone, Brick, or Concrete Walls
-
Option 1: Pre-drill with a masonry bit every ~250mm. Insert nylon wall plugs, then screw through the mesh using screws with washers. This method provides a very durable and long-lasting hold.
- Option 2: Use construction adhesive (e.g. Liquid Nails) on the back of zip tie mounts (like shown below) to glue them to the wall every 200mm, then secure the Green Wall panel by feeding the zip ties through its mesh and zipping it closed.
Glass or Colorbond (Metal) Surfaces
-
For non-permanent installs:
Use double-sided adhesive tape + zip tie mounts (like shown below).
Place mounts every 100–200mm, then secure the Green Wall panel by feeding the zip ties through its mesh and zipping it closed. -
For a more permanent hold:
Use construction adhesive (e.g. Liquid Nails) on the back of the zip tie mounts instead of tape, then secure the mesh with zip ties through each anchor point.
💡 Tip:
If cutting panels to fit, standard scissors or garden shears can be used on the plastic mesh. After installation, fluff and adjust the foliage to cover edges and joins for a natural, full look.

Care & Maintenance
General Cleaning:
-
Gently dust with a microfiber cloth or soft brush.
-
For outdoor panels, rinse with a garden hose on low pressure if dusty.
Deep Cleaning:
-
Use a soft sponge or cloth with a mild soapy solution.
-
Rinse gently with clean water and let air dry.
Do NOT:
-
Use harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
-
Pressure wash directly onto the foliage.
UV & Weather Resistance:
-
All panels are UV-stabilised to reduce fading.
-
For areas with harsh sun exposure, rotate panels annually for more even wear.
-
Can withstand rain and outdoor conditions — best installed with some airflow to prevent debris buildup.
Indoor Use Tip:
Panels used indoors may collect dust more slowly but can benefit from occasional dusting with a duster.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
While DECKO Verdure plants require no watering or pruning, a little care will help keep them looking their best — indoors or out.
General Care (Both Ranges):
-
Dusting: If it is simple to remove them from their medium, then the is easiest way to dust it is to just hose them down outside. However, if they are installed inside, and it is a hassle to remove, just wipe gently with a soft dry cloth, duster or use a low-power vacuum brush.
-
Washing: For outdoor builds, hose down occasionally or wipe with a damp cloth and mild soapy water if needed.
-
Shaping: You can bend and reposition stems/leaves occasionally to refresh the display.
-
UV & Weather Resistance: Safe for outdoor use - all plants are crafted from virgin UV-stabilised polyethylene, tested to 5,000 hours of sun exposure. Colour and flexibility will last for years without fading or cracking.
Important: While weather-resistant, prolonged exposure to harsh conditions (e.g. storms, hail) may cause physical damage - we recommend installing under partial shelter where possible for long-term outdoor displays.
Storage Tips (if reusing seasonally):
-
Store in a dry, shaded area.
-
Loosely cover with breathable fabric (avoid plastic wrap).
-
Avoid crushing or stacking to preserve shape.
SUSTAINABILITY NOTE
Contrary to popular belief, for this type of product, it is actually more sustainable to use virgin materials that last 5+ years in outdoor conditions (or 10x longer indoors) and is recyclable, than to use one made from recycled plastic that degrades after just a few months and may require further processing or disposal.
This is because most recycled plastics cannot be recycled indefinitely—they degrade in quality each cycle, losing its ability to be effectively UV stabilized, often becoming non-recyclable after one or two rounds.
Additionally, the energy and emissions involved in frequent replacement and reprocessing (if even possible) can outweigh the footprint of a single, long-lasting, recyclable product.
So, choosing high-performance, UV-stabilised materials that deliver longevity and recyclability can actually be the more environmentally responsible choice.
